Happy New Year to YOU!
I hope you had a enjoyable New Year celebration -whether it was loud and raucous or quiet and intimate I really hope you were surrounded with love.
If all goes according to plan, I will be with new friends (dearly missing the Tres Amigas New Year tradition) and the love of my life, 17. Certainly about the time you read this I will probably be nursing some kind of hangover, searching for the perfect hangover remedy…a plate of chilequiles verdes. mmmmmmm.
A lot of things happened in 2011, some I will never forget (my wedding) and some I hope to soon forget (TLB & ThePrince). I started working at a wonderful place filled with great minds, great energy and some truly spectacular people.
We brought Dodger into our lives. A rambunctious fury of mouth and tail wrapped up into one heavy, lumbering package of dog. I think we are complete on the four-legged front.
I gained some new family…The 17s. I finally have a brother and a sister (in-law, but who’s counting) that I adore. I can’t wait to make more memories with them.
I found out who my true friends are, they stuck with me through thick and thin. There were there for my nuptials and when I was dealing with other people’s drama. I am thankful for HelloKitty, TurtleGirl, CanyonOwl, Bunny and TresAmiga1 and TresAmiga2. I love you ladies.
I am thankful for my readers. I intended, really, to write for myself but your words of wisdom, encouragement and advice help me to write everyday.
There are a couple of things I would like to do in this coming 365, assuming the Mayans aren’t right. I hope you hold me to them:
- Work on my fitness
- Work on the new business
- Watch the new business take off
- Spend more time with the Zookeeper
- Travel abroad and domestically with 17
- Train Sophie, Dodger & Ditto
- Minimize my footprint – out with the old, in with the new
- Move into the Big House
- Start to think about starting our Family
- Write MORE
Only 10 things. Some of them are pretty big though. What are some things you will be working on? I hope one of them is to stop by A Dog-Eared Life often. :)
